HIGH PEAK /WATER FALLS TOUR OF GHANA
Day 1 ARRIVAL / WELCOME CEREMONY
Arrive in Ghana through the Kotoka International Airport. You will be met on arrival, transferred to you hotel and given an orientation on Ghana. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 WLI WATERFALLS
After breakfast, take a ride through the eastern corridor to the Volta region. Visit the Wli water falls which is the highest in West Africa. This fall is of is divided into two sections with ice cold water flowing from a height of about 80ft. This fall is blessed with a colony of wild bats, butterflies, breath taking sight and cool environment
After lunch take the challenge to visit the other section of the fall which is more challenging, interesting and spectacular. Come let cross the stream eight times to the fall. Over night at Hohoe.
Day 3 MOUNTAIN AFADZATO /TAGBO FALLS
Depart the hotel to continue your tour of the beautiful water falls in Ghana. After visiting the highest and most impressive water falls in West Africa, bless your self with the opportunity to visit the highest point of altitude in not only Ghana but West Africa as a whole. . The Afadzato Mountain is very spectacular of a height of 2905ft above sea level.
After lunch visit the nearby Tagbo falls. It is incredibly with a wonderful plunge pool. Overnight at Amedzofe.
Day 4 MOUNTAIN GEMI/GBADZEME FALLS
After breakfast, get going. Visit the Gemi Mountain which is about 2000tf high above sea level. It is one of the heist in Ghana and a major attraction for people interested in mountaineering. With it’s truly breath-taking landscape and cool dry climate, mountain Gemi never seizes to give tourist the true meaning of the beauty of nature.
After lunch,take a tour of the splendid Gbadzeme falls which l believe you will love you did. Overnight at Akosombo.
Day 5 THE LARGEST MAN-MAD LAKE CRUISING
Get yourself break today from the breath-taking and relax just cruising on the largest man-made lake in the world (in terms of area surface) to the beautiful island of Dodi. Get on board the Dodi princess which is a modern passenger cruise ship built insured passenger capacity of 200. The cruiser line has two decks – a lower, air-conditioned deck which seats 100 and an upper deck with a canopy overhead which provide a commanding view green scenery and great expanse of water right to the Dodi Island – a beautiful island in the Volta Region. You can also take an educational tour of the Hydro electricity dam which is just nearby, where electric currents are generated through the process of water turning turbines. Overnight at
Day 6 BOTI FALLS / UMBRELLA ROCK
It is yet another time to see one of the spectacular and numerous water falls Ghana is blesses with. Depart your hotel to the Boti falls. This water falls is in cascade and has the unique characteristic of being framed by a magnificent rainbow after each fall. You will be delighted to be here.
After lunch visit the nearby rock formation which is in the exact shape of an umbrella. Overnight at Kumis.
Day 7 NATURAL LAKE (BOSOMTWE) / MANHYIA PALACE
After breakfast, visit Lake Bosomtwe. It is located 31km southeast of Kumasi. A picturesque meteorite Crater Lake surrounded by dozens of virgin fishing and farming villages. The Lake Basin is ideal for mountaineering, diving, swimming and relaxation.
After lunch take a tour of the residence of the King of the Asanti kingdom. Visit the Manhyia palace located in the palace ground of the Asantenene, offers interesting artifacts and interpretation to both domestic and international tourists. It contains relics of past Asante wars, heros and heroines. Overnight at Kumasi.
Day 8 CAPE COAST CASTLE
Depart Kumasi to Cape Coast. Take the privilege to descend memory lane. Visit one of the UNESCO designated world heritage sites – the Cape Coast castle. Built in 1653 by the Swedes is located along the coast of the Central Region. Take a tour of the salve dungeons, slave auction room and the other relics of the slave trade era. Overnight at Cape Coast.
Day 9 ELMINA CASTLE
You are yet to come out of the memories of the slave trade. Continue the castle tour also located along the coast of the Central Region. Visit the Elmina castle. Also called the St. Georges Castle, the Elmina castle is built in 1482 by the Portuguese was taken over by the British and houses the West African Historic Museum. It is the earliest biggest known structure in West Africa. Overnight at Elmina.
Day 10 - KAKUM NATIONAL PARK (TREE-TOP CANOPY WALKWAY)
You are welcome back from the memory lane of slave trade. Now imaging taking a walk on a tree-top canopy walkway hanging at the top of huge trees about 100ft above the forest floor. Yes I mean visit the Kakum National Park. It is a 357 km˛ typical undisturbed virgin rainforest. Excellent walking tour(and a tree-top canopy walk way) through the forest provide the opportunity to see much of Ghana’s indigenous plant life, as well as rare butterflies, birds and game ( that could include the extraordinary bongo and forest elephants) overnight at Cape Coast.
Day 11 BEACH REAXATION AT BOJO BEACH RESORT
It will be uncalled to visit Ghana without having a feel of the numerous beaches she has been blessed with. After breakfast depart towards the Capital city and visit the famous Bojo beach resort. This beach is blessed with white-clean sand, large continental shelve and palm fringes. You can have same kind at various parts of the country along the coast take the opportunity to have a ride in a dug-out but safe canoe on the waters of the lagoon before getting to the beach. Overnight in Accra
Day 12 ACCRA CITY TOUR / SHOPPING
After breakfast depart hotel for a sightseeing city tour of Accra. You will drive through the administrative and economic districts of Accra, the capital of Ghana. This124-year-old city with has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. You will visit the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/ Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. After lunch in a local Ghanaian restaurant, you will end your tour at the Arts Centre where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills to shop from an open-air market for artifacts from Ghana and West Africa. Overnight in Accra.
Day 13 RELAX AT ABURI BOTENICAL GARDENS
To day make it a point to once again get close to nature. Take a ride to the Eastern Region. Visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens. This garden situated on the Akwapem ridge attracts over 5,000 tourists a month. Established as an agricultural station and opened to the public in 1890. The garden has a collection of375 different species of plants carefully arranged around ten lawns in a way that creates harmony between man and nature. The garden attracts lots of birds and butterflies that add up to its beauty.
Overnight in Accra.
Day 14 - PRE DEPARTURE FORMALITIES / DEPARTURE
After breakfast relax at the hotel, depart later to the airport for the departure formalities. Return and relax at the hotel preparing for departure later in the night.
