8 DAYS - 7 NIGHTS ADVENTURE TOUR OF GHANA
 
 
(THE LAND OF TRUE HOSPITALITY AND SMILE)

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL AND WELCOME CEREMONY

You will be met on arrival and assisted at the Airport, transferred to your hotel, given a detail orientation on Ghana by our well trained and experienced representative. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2 – ACCRA CITY TOUR

After breakfast at the hotel, depart in the company of our experienced tour guide for a site seeing tour of the capital city of Ghana-Accra. The over126 years old city, features a blend of both colonial and modern architecture. Visit places of tourist appeal such as the Centre for National Culture, the W.E.B Dubois Centre for Pan African / Culture studies, the National Museum, the Independence square, and the busy markets of the city.

Lunch at “the steers” at Osu and depart for the Shai Resource Reserve.

DAY 3 – VOLTA TOUR

After breakfast at the gust’s house, drive through the eastern corridor to the Volta region to visit that Tafi Atome monkey sanctuary and cultural village-where the true mona monkeys live peacefully with the inhabitance of this unique village.

Lunch at the Wli guest’s restaurant then visit the Wli water falls-the highest waterfalls in cascade in west Africa with it’s colony of wild bats, butterflies, breath taking sight and cool environment with the water flowing from a height of over 100ft above the ground.

DAY 4 – VOLTA – EASTERN TOURS

Early morning breakfast and departure to the Axiavi caves, where the people of Likpe believe that their ancestors sort for shelter and protection from the harsh weather and enemies in times of war. Depart the Volta land to the Eastern region to visit the Hydro Electricity dam at Akosombo, which is referred to as the power –house of Ghana.

Depart for Accra after lunch at the Volta hotel in Akosombo.

Dinner and overnight in Accra.

DAY 5 – CERNTRAL TOUR

After breakfast, enjoy a ride through the corridor of Accra to Cape Coast to revisit the memory lane of the world acclaimed occurrences of the slave trade era when over 12 million Africans were transported to the western world and worked on plantations and other fields of the western world. You will be privileged to be taken through some of the slave dungeons and see some relics of that era. Meanwhile, make a stop over at Mankessem to visit the “Pusuban shrine” where the Fante soldiers prepared themselves spiritually in times of war.

Have lunch at the Cape Coast castle restaurant.

Dinner and overnight at Hans cottage boatel.

DAY 6 – CENTRAL TOUR

Depart from your hotel after breakfast and get closer to nature by visiting the evergreen tropical rain forest of the Kakum National Park. Take the opportunity of walking on the tree-top canopy walk-way which hangs about 100ft above the forest floor or best still; take a nature walk through the forest to discover the many medicinal plants and their uses. Have your lunch at the park’s restaurant.

Dinner and overnight, at the Elmina hotel.

DAY 7 – CENTRAL – ACCRA TOURS

Right after breakfast, say good bye to the people of the central region with a visit to the Elmina Castle which is the earliest and biggest known British structure in West Africa. Also known as the st. George ’s castle, houses the west African Historic Museum.

Relax and have lunch at the “friend’s garden” in Cape Coast land depart for Accra. Make a stopover at Weija salt industries for a brief lecture on how iodated salt (commonly referred to as white gold) is produced through evaporation. Diner and overnight, at your base in Accra.

DAY 8 – SHOIPNG AND DEPARTURE

Depart after breakfast for the city centre on a shopping spree for souvenirs and gift items for yourself and friends back home. Use this opportunity to exercise your bargaining skills. After lunch, we rest on the sunny and sandy beach at La. Unfortunately you will be saying good bye to the land of true hospitality and smile later in the night so you take a ride to the Airport for the departure formalities and depart later after dinner. All in the company of a guide.
